Employer-Backed Placement Pathway

Through established collaborations with licensed healthcare institutions in Germany, participants are matched with host institutions before departure from Kenya. This ensures transparency and continuity from training to professional integration, in line with EU fair labour mobility standards.

Recognition & Professional Adaptation

Kenyan nursing qualifications are formally assessed by the relevant German recognition authorities. Evaluation is based on:

Educational curriculum
Clinical training
Professional work experience
Where differences are identified, participants are enrolled in a supervised adaptation or qualification alignment phase.
During this period: Participants are legally engaged and remunerated.
Training is practical and workplace-based
The recognition process is typically completed within 6–10 months

No Recruitment or Placement Fees

In line with EU Labour Act and ethical recruitment guidelines, participants are not charged any recruitment, placement, or agency fees.
All program-related costs including placement support and recognition processes are fully covered by the host institutions, ensuring protection from financial exploitation.

Family Unity & Social Integration

Participants may apply for family reunification for spouses and children
Families gain access to Germany’s social support systems
Parents receive a monthly, tax-free child benefit (Kindergeld) of €250 per child

Program Eligibility Criteria

The program is open to qualified Registered Nurses holding either a Diploma or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
 
Applicants must:
Be between 21 and 42 years of age at the time of application. Have a minimum of two (2) years of post-qualification clinical work experience Demonstrate German language proficiency at B2 level, in accordance with professional and regulatory requirements for healthcare practice in Germany.
 
All applications are subject to verification of academic credentials, professional registration, and work experience, in line with applicable regulatory standards.

Remuneration, Progression & Long-Term Residence

Participants appointed under this program will receive a monthly gross remuneration starting from approximately €3,000, subject to role classification, work location, and applicable collective bargaining agreements. Remuneration may increase to up to €6,000 per month based on factors such as:

Additional working hours
Night shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Operational requirements and individual availability
Protection under German and EU labour laws
Eligibility to apply for permanent residence after 5 years
